Hmmmm,

This may seem like a silly question but the same thing happened yesterday.  I joined in on the JHF server.  After a short time I notice that my ping had gone up between 140 to 200.  It normally is around 70 - 80.  My ping then  to get higher and higher and I gave up playing  somewhere in the 600's.  I checked with Comcast and we ran some test's.  It seems that Comcast was funtioning ok and most we could determine was that there must be something running in the back round of my system.  It was really wierd because every site I went to  the pings were 400 to 800.  SAo later that nite (midnightish) I check back on and the pings had settled down some what, but around 1:30am -2:00am they returned to normal.  Now today, the same thing has happened again.  I have been playing most of the day with  normal ping and after I got into tje JHF server my ping has been on a steady climb up to  300's now, every where I try.  Any Ideas?

I've been there LR   Undecided     get this free program & d/l it.   have it running in the background while you play. it records your ping to whatever url you set it to. and you can adjust it to test every second if you want.  (it  doesnt tax the cpu hardly @ all, so you wont notice it running)  you can take screenshots of its graph as well and perhaps send them to your isp for *evidence*

http://www.pingplotter.com/

   also:   check for spyware etc..

also also:   got to http://www.pcpitstop.com/   and run the full diagnostic, it is free and after a 2 minute test will tell you how and where to tweak your system, which processes are optional etc...
