Movies I've rented recently (Netflix is da bomb):

HITCH: Waste no time - go get this one! Hilarious. Will Smith is one o' my favorite actors and he nails it here.

50 First Dates: Surprisingly not just a chick flick. If you can get past the occasional serious profanity (things we would !ban for) and the innuendo, it is extremely funny. Rob Schneider's character makes this movie awesome.

We Were Soldiers: Gripping. If that was realistic...  Cry Cry Cry Great movie.

Man on Fire: Denzel at his best. Marc Anthony = pansy.

And just finished watching tonight:

Napoleon Dynamite: UGH! WHAT IS THE DEAL WITH THE HYPE OVER THIS MOVIE? Don't waste your time. Some funny parts, but painful overall.
Napolean dynamite should be burned. its really stupid and looks like it was made by nerds from the 70s. it wasnt even worth the 3.95 on paperview!

People seem to have quite strong reactions to that movie.  They either love it or hate it.  I've not seen it but the trailer did not impress me.

I got a new one, just saw it with the kids. IT is willy wonka.Take my word for it  if you was looking forward to a newer version of the old classic then you will be very saddened to see this one. While jonh depp was outstanding in pirates of the carabian, he was awefull in this.If not for the kids I would have walked out I really loved seeing one face of a east indian man on a computor generated small body by the hundreds of oompaa lumpa's . mostly signing a song in such high pitch i didnt know what they were saying.Oh wait there is more, i dont know who played violet's mom but she darn right scared me with her hinged grined face, loooking more like she was molded in that fashion permantely.

There was one very saving moment in the film, that was when it ended  Tongue

there isnt a minus grade for movie's in my 0-5 woof scale, if there was this one would get a - 1,000 woof's

The Mission

Just saw it yesterday, never knew it existed, or what it was, but that may be because it came out when I was three. I am sure some of you older folks  Wink may have seen it.

Robert DeNiro, Jeremy Irons, and a young Liam Nieson are in this movie, and they are all excellent. Takes place in South America in the 1700s. DeNiro plays a mercenary and slave trader who makes his living on enslaving the indigenous people, while Irons and Nieson play Jesuit (sp?) priests working with the natives. DeNiro is later convicted of a crime and his pennance is serve with the Priests and live among the natives. I won't give away too much more, because you might want to check it out. Won best picture at Cannes in 86, and was nominated for the BP Oscar as well.

4 1/2 woofs.

For Napoleon: you HAVE to see it twice to like it.  When I saw it the first time, I didn't like it much.  But then we watched it again I my whole family absolutely loved it.  If you guys still have the movie, I'd watch it again and you'll like it a lot better.

Fantastic Four was a really good movie, even good for the little ones.  When I saw the previews it looked like one of those movies that the preview gave away all the funny lines and showed pretty much the whole movie.  When it came down to it though I enjoyed it all the way through.  I've always like these comic book movies so I give it a 4 1/2 out of 5 woofs.

Wedding Crashers was awsome, couldn't get any better than what it was.  Like veritas said not for the little ones to see.  Owen Wilson was great as was Vince Vaughan.  I say a perfect 5 out of 5 woofs for this movie.  Oh yea it was also said to be the funniest comedy of the summer and got over 4 stars by the critic's.  Which is unusual for a comedy.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was a pretty good movie.  I'm probably one of the only ones who thought Johnny Depp did a good job as Willy Wonka.  It's been a while since I've seen the original movie but wasn't that intended on being more of a childerens movie?  Where as the book was a little bit more darker and out there?  This was the feeling I got and the newer movie seemed to go more by the book then the original movie.  I liked how they used the glass elevator in this one too, attention to detail is always nice. Grin  I do understand how it is hard to top an original like that was so successful.  I thought they did a good job competing with it., my 2 cents.  4 of 5 woofs.

But isnt a mini series just a movie broken up into parts to fit a time slot? I own a chine with both subtitles in either langse version of band of bro's , made in chinese and english with both lang subtitles.
