Not sure if this is right but I heard one card focuses on top half of screen while other bottom half?

Mark,
I am pretty slow sometimes....Is Computer Connection your business? If so, that is awesome. I have always thought about going into business doing that. Since I fix nearly all of my friends PCs, Family PCs, their friends PCs and for the most part, it ends up being free to them and time expensive to me.
If it is yours, how is the business going?
OB
Hey OB
Yea Computer Connection is mine
. I have been unemployed sense October 2005 and had to do something so I started a little side business but it isn't being very profitable. The old saying that it takes money to make money is true. I just cant get the word out enough to get it off the ground. I have a few customers but most are family. Also its hard to convince someone that your $500.00 system is better because of the Namebrand parts you use to custom build it, when they think they can just go to BestBuy and get one for $400.00 with the cheapest parts that the manufacture can put in to make a profit. But I am trying, hoping that the Lord will provide and steer me in the direction that is best.
Thanks for asking!

hey mark, im kinda doin the same, only diff is, luckily, its a side job, and yes its true, very ssssssslllllllooooowww. my experience has been that dealing with spyware/viruses is the best way to get someone's business. i put out a campus wide email at work, and i had alot of bites dealing with that. and have since gotten quite a few referrals, and now they are calling me for upgrades and such. i had to charge really low rates at first (most paid more than what i asked for). and it's been ok, but i am glad that i have my regular 9-5 job to rely on tho. good luck.
if you don't already have some, here's a site to get free business cards
www.vistaprint.com
all you pay for is shipping and they put a little ad for themselves on the back.
most people asked me for some when i didn't have any, but now i do!
i agree with you on the computer price thing..but i have told people to go with those cheap computers, so then when they realize its not as good as they thought it was (i tell them up front) i can then tell them how i could upgrade it for them

Hey Smoke
Thanks for the link on the cards. I usually just print my own but I might have to get some done through that site
. I agree the most that is inquired about is Virus & Spyware. It is sloww but I have confidence it will take off someday.
