Mike not working

 Have gone crazy trying to get my mike to work. I have a sound blaster adugy 2 sound card have tried3 different mics it will not work in windows sound recorder or teamspeak. It use to but not anymore have uninstalled teamspeak and the software from creative have removed all of the drivers thru hardware manager have taken out sound card and started comp without the card and then reinstalled card and reloaded all the software and nothing. Any ideas? HELP

I have the same sound card.  I had the same problem as well.  Here is what I did (you may have already tried this).

Go into your control panel and go to "Sound and audio devices".
Click on the voice tab and check your volume here.  I found that mine was all the way down.
Bring it up and put a check mark in the box to select it.

Hope you can see this okay.


This is what worked for me.  Hope that is all it is for you.  Let me know if this works.

Also in the same picture there is a test hardware button that works great for getting your mic back up and running. I have a problem with my mic and ts, and sometime i have to hit the test hardware button to get my mic to show up for teamspeak use.

Your mic was working tonight farefax.  You were gone, but we could here your dogs bark in the background    So you must have it on voice activated.  But it was indeed working.

Yes it was working.  Not only did we hear the dog, but I heard someone call someone else "4" eyes.  Pretty funny stuff.

 Don't understand how that could have happened , Want to apologize ti all the mike seems to work and then not work I was monkeying around with it and must I left TS on. I will be formatting my comp on the next few days and I hope to get that fixed. My video card has also started to Skip so I don't know what is going on. Once again I would like to say I'm sorry for tyeing up the TS channel,

Personally I was not impressed with FF's mic being left on. It sounded kind of woof..Oh hohoho....
I am glad that Dawg was on that night because he helped translate all the barking

No worries Farefax, it was all pretty funny.  And we could only hear them when they got really excited.  So only once in a while.

 Thanks hoffa. It's only 5 Haveanse  Lab mix and a litter of 7 hav pups. Yes count them 13 in all. lol 6 are sold and am keeping one. lol Site is down now but check it out if you can. lol

stupid comment/suggestion for Fairfax, but you might not know if your mic is on if the Mute box is checked in the volume panel...would still work, but you wont hear anything.
