This almost makes me want to buy an Apple  Tongue.  CupofJoe was telling me that this will be Windows compatible.  I asked him if you would be able to play PC games on this thing.  Does anybody know the answer to this.  I will say that this thing looks AWESOME.  It will probably have an "awesome" price as well  Roll Eyes Cool

Seems quite likely.  I'd imagine that would be the direction BootCamp would be taking, without the need for a reboot.  Since bootcamp already allows for game like COD2 etc to run as happily in in windows, while  running on a mac - I'd imagine that Leopards potential VM solution to be the same.

Google has not yielded answers, I suspect that sort of information is not  yet official.

Indeed!

Prices on Vista seemed to be conjecture at this point, but most put it at about 199 or so (for the "home" sort of edition).  Apple has indicated that Leopard will the the usual OS price - $129.

I saw the light, I saw the light
No more lock-ups, no more fright
Now I'm so happy, no blue screen in sight...
Praise the Lord I saw the light!

Me like 'um this thread much. I think there is a distinct possibility I may score an amazingly awesome christmas/early graduation gift this year... I can only imagine a shiney new mac on my desktop. So many possibilities... The one problem:
I actually have to graduate.

Oh, well, I missed on the VM situation...unless Apple is employing a "disinformation" campaign to draw attention away:

I can see both sides of this from Apple.  I can see why they'd want to do this, and see why they wouldn't.  Why bloat your great OS with windows if you dont' have to!  Tongue

Parallels seems like a good solution, and isn't really that expensive.   You never know - they might buy it at some point and integrate it.   Long time mac users remember SoundJam, which was purchased and is the basis for iTunes.  So you never know.

I want an intel mac.   Undecided

I wonder if the MAC programmed in random Blue Screens of Death?   Or the more common, randomly close applications for a general error and ask if they want to send an email to them with to make you feel better about losing your info.

I like the idea of Apple and Microsoft slowly working toward middle ground, but to be honest with you since I have had XP Pro, I can count on one hand (even after my meat carving accident) how many blue screens of death I have had. As a matter of fact I was thinking of renaming Blue Screens to Dodo. Your right OB the “general error” thing is a pain but it doesn't seem to be a catastrophic as the (wait for it) Dodo.
