any recommendations?
I need something that allows multiple video overlays. i've found a few over $500 but i'd rather not spend that much on it.
I will be burning to dvd

i was just looking into that myself...ive been using adobe premier cs2 its pretty cool, i have no idea what im doing tho, i think it will even do hd output or at least blue ray (might be in cs3, not 2)... adobe's site says its $799
(shh, i didn't pay for it)
have you seen this software yet...its free!

I'd like to thank all of those that responded to my inquiry
with special attention to Smoke
after days of pouring over reviews and articles of witch software did what the best etc etc I finally decided on......
windows movie maker!
not.
adobe premier elements 3 are teh bomb!, at least it is so far. if i decide otherwise i'll let ya know

I got better.
I would have responded but all my really good quality suggestions were mac related...
I hear rumors that our friends the [pickle] clan used Premier to make the infamous [pickle] clan video.

JT- I'm making a video using still pix and old super 8mm video I've moved to the digital realm. I did run into a issue last night with a conversion problem. (the new files are getting corrupted in the process) so i gotta figure that one out.
