Ubuntu / linux questions

Okay, like all the other noobs out there, I too installed Ubuntu. I have a few video issues, but I am getting around. I am slightly familiar with UNIX and Linux, but I am trying to see if there is a way I can map to my Windows C-drive or any of my other disks that I have. OR vice a versa. If I can map a drive from my Windblows to Ubuntu. Just curious if anyone has done this before.
Thanks,
OB

Noob? Aren't you certified in Linux or something? Thats the rumor anyway... perhaps we've been giving you too much credit!

If your using ubuntu, it probably already has teh NTFS driver loaded. you could just do something like the following to mount your windows partition (or at least test it out).
mount -t NTFS <source partition> <destiination directory>
You will have to determine the partition name. if you are using a SATA drive it will most likeky be something like /dev/sda1, or for an IDE drive, /dev/hda1.
YMMV, EAYOR, IANAL, ETC ETC.

Yeah, I have my Windows partition (on the same computer) already mounted. I am looking to mount a mapped drive to another computer altogether. Or is that what you are talking about.
