This is the first time I've been able to reach the site for a while tonight, seems some problems with the nameservers?

Just curious if anyone else was affected, or if it was my fault in my tinker fest?  I've been known to break the interwebbynet before Sad

Code:
Nameserver trace for jhfgames.com:

    * Looking for who is responsible for root zone and followed c.root-servers.net.
    * Looking for who is responsible for com and followed h.gtld-servers.net.
    * Looking for who is responsible for jhfgames.com and followed ns5.yourhostdns.com.

Nameservers for jhfgames.com:

    * ns5.yourhostdns.com [SERVFAIL]
    * ns6.yourhostdns.com [SERVFAIL]

My ISP as well as OpenDNS (which I'm not quite sold on just yet - any thoughts from anyone who has/does use(d) it?) reports that these were down, so I'm hoping it wasn't me Tongue  (no other sites were affected)

No. I don't think I'll ever get over Macho Grande.

I could not get to the site for most of the late evening and the wee hours of the morning.  Seems to be working now though.

Problems here also.  The last two days now.  DNS lookups time out without resolving.  Seems to be a DNS issue.

Late last night I was unable to load the forum either, and pop3 was also down.  FTP remained up, but that doesn't help us read the forum.  Tongue

I will harass the server company about it, I have another question for them anyway.

Good, then I didn't break it Cheesy

It happened a few days ago as well, but it was only about a half an hour that time, this time, about 3-4 hours or so.

Got a message from the server company tonight (I have not yet pestered them on either issue):

Hello,

        With reference to the above mentioned subject we would like to notify you that the server (maxser.yourhostdns.com , IP address : 74.52.251.226) is going to be down twice due to maintenance. The duration of first downtime is going to be for 30 mins and during the next downtime server will be offline for 15 mins.

We apologize for the short notice and downtime.

Thank You,
Support Team,

So maybe that will fix one issue of downtime!

The homepage is having trouble again.   Sad   Once your past that everything seems to work ok.
