I'm trying to set up a router at my parents house, but both NoSocks and I are stumped.  We can't figure out why the internet will not show through the router.  We have already checked the firmware for both the router and modem are up-to-date (only 1 firmware available for both, the pre-installed firmware).  When the two computers are connected directly through the modem they can see the internet.  When they are connected through the router, to the internet, they can see each other, but not the internet.  Any ideas what could be the issue?

No. I don't think I'll ever get over Macho Grande.

When you log into to the router, can you verify the router can see the Internet on the WAN port?

I had a similar problem using Blista.  Norton was the problem, but for the life of me, I cannot remember what I did to fix it.  But for what it is worth, I WAS able to fix it, so it must have been something obvious within Norton.

Hope that kinda helps.

Unfortunately, it doesn't help.  NoSocks and I removed McAfee since it was slowing down my parents computer immensely.  My Dad insisted he needed it to protect against viruses and other types of malware.  The computer is substantially faster, and since he only goes to legit sites (irs.gov has so much risk Roll Eyes) he really didn't need it.  To make him feel better we installed AVG instead.
