Do you Fe-el like I do!

hey all, just found something kinda interesting.  there's software that uses your "idle" or "downtime" on your computer to perform calculations/processes that only "super computers" can handle. it then uploads it to their (Stanford University) computers. The way it works is when lots of peoples computers are doing these things at once, it actually is better/faster than any supercomputer.  Ive seen the one called Seti@home that "searches" for other solarsystems.  but this one is for protein research, which is related to cancer research.  i have the one that only comes on as a screensaver (so it doesn't interfere with COD!) you can also have one that's always on too. ahh, your better off reading the website, than me trying to explain it to ya.  but just thought i'd pass it on:

also there is a place there where you can set up a team and keep track of how much information is processed by teams (i.e. =jhf=)
