heya, funcom is giving old AoC players a free 14-day Re-evaluation to play, unrestricted.

I know there was some stuff that didnt happen with the game properly, but it's still fun to fool around with. I've been playing on the Cimmeria PVP-Rp server, with JT. You can create a new character at level 50, one-time. I might even pay
for a few months @ $11.99/mo. until MW2 comes out.

Have they added 1456 hours of new content...
I think of those that frequent these boards, only MeCan, Ralph, Astro, and Stretchy have the game. If they let you play without buying the game, I would recommend everyone try it.
Its not a bad game, just lacks on things to do once you hit a certain point. Unfortunately for me, I hit that point on 4 of my 8 toons.

That Hoffa is what seems to happen to the last 2 mmo's I ve played in the past 2 yrs. I played a game called rohan, was great at first then once you got to lvl70+ it became very hard and boring to lvl up to the max lvl of 99.After that wow was played for free, lvl 80 was the limit and then it was all about raiding for better gear and going around killing low lvls this lasted for 2 months for me.
Conan looks reall good but I am afraid that once I hit point you got to Hoffa that I would be out the money I spent on the game rental. With money being tight for me since I still dont have a job as I am still hurt in my lower back and cant work I am not interested in wasteing the money that way

It is a fun game. But I've played over 1400 hours of it.
I think while the win back program is in session, they have suspended the trial game. But you can try it for 14 days free as well. It is worth a look. Fantastic looking game, and the first 60 levels are a ton of fun, and even better with friends.
Lopping off heads can never be under estimated for entertainment value.

The content has improved dramatically, even in the lower post tortage levels. Raid content for 80+ has also improved a ton, as in there IS some of it. The guild I joined for AOC does a lot of raiding - really not an aspect of the game we had when we were all playing together.
Oh and look mom no taxes!

The content has improved dramatically, even in the lower post tortage levels.
Noble District commons are level 75-80, and there are still only 8 raids for level 80. Most of which require 23 other people to do. As for the other content, all my toons are past it, and I have no desire to run Tortage again to see the new stuff. The first 9 times though Tortage were enough.
Again though, for those that have not played it, its worth the $20 for the game and a month of play. It is just not worth it for me

I debated about getting it, but decided not too. I have enough games already between my PC and PS2/3.

No. I don't think I'll ever get over Macho Grande.

For AoC MMORPG meant Mining Millions Only Reaps Pointless Gold...though I did enjoy the hours spent whacking rocks while chatting with Hoffa until what little economy AoC had fell apart then even that became pointless. Time zone differences and lack of content for small parties meant I soloed most of the time. Imo there are much better stories and such for solo RPGing. As for decapitations, it was hard to beat my lvl 80 Bear Shaman ripping his opponent's head off with his bare hands.

What's the catch? Free usually doesn't mean free anymore.

Free is free here. The catch is the higher quality gear costs money.
