No. I don't think I'll ever get over Macho Grande.

update: compressor has been replaced and we're all set! this morning, they told me they couldn't come out before monday or tuesday, but we got lucky and they squeezed us in today! when i got home to meet the repair guy, my thermostat said 99 (it doesn't display triple digits, so who knows how hot it was lol).

That sucks Uncle, too bad your house doesn't have two AC's like mine.  But with your luck so far maybe both of
them would go out!  lol  Roll Eyes

That's awesome they fixed it early, maybe your luck is changing?....Let's see hop in game and will see if your at
the bottom of the score board. Wink

It is normally pleasant here in Oregon too, at least until the monsoon comes (Nov-Apr).  Though I have my AC on today... but then again, I am fat and do not dissipate heat well  Tongue

Ah dude, I feel for you.  I live down south in Waco.  My A/C was on its last leg this year, so with all the rebates from the state, TXU/Oncor rebates and taxes, we bit the bullet and replaced this spring....before the heat.  Hope you are cool now.
