I had not heard of bloodline champions, but I have been following (looking forward to its premature release - this is Funcom) The Secret World for some time now.

a little update.  funcom did a hands on media preview last month, and there's been a bunch of articles on it.  They were allowed a little bit of gameplay.  Most have nothing but good things to say.  From what i've read, it's scheduled for an april 2012 release.  For those with facebook accounts, there are a bunch of links to the different articles:

for others, here's a sample:

I know this is a trailer... and not to be confused with actual game play... but I dig it - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-RP9hKFoxE

Jimmy, it sounds like you don't like FunCom.  It can't be as bad as AoC.

Rumor has it.. AoC became a decent game when it went f2p (I've not tried it ever, just relaying rumors Tongue)

The same cannot be said for DC Universe online (i know its not really relevant.. i just wanted a closer/something to contrast with)

I played AoC and cannot bring myself to even try the f2p.  It was awful!

F2p games tend to be awful.  The exception being League of Legends (SHAMELESS PLUG*) and a few older games that have been around for ages.  f2p is usually a last ditch effort to get some revenue for a dying game (like AoC, DCU, etc).  Rumors have been floating around that WoW might go F2p in the future (not soon, but it's not a far fetched idea after 7-8-9 years now)

*(no really, it's' a good game, free or otherwise)

I'm not jumping in on this one.  Doesn't look all that appealing to me.
