None of this probably surprises any of you.  Its another indication of why I would rather play and support companies that put out games like Red Orchestra 2 which will have map packs, mods, and a community that can create some of this on its own. Even BC2, which I liked - didn't allow for mods and custom maps if I recall.   I hope RO2 is good, but I will always support that model (even for less than perfect games) over the model where I just died because someone spent more real world money than I did.  Bleh.

But I ain't.  Sadly, it will probably make milliions.  Even more sad, with a down economy, those out of work will probably spend much more than they should to play since they are home anyway.  Sad...Sad...

I wasn't planning on dropping a dime on MW3, so this new news makes it even less likely to ever see a cent from me.  From the feedback I have been getting from people at work, they aren't planning to pay for elite either.
