HOW DO YOU DO SCREENSHOTS Huh THEN HOW DO YOU POST IT  Huh

THANKYOU FOR YOUR ALLS KNOWHOW ARE I WOULD BE LOST..... BIN

in the macOS version of CODUO, i take a screenshot by pressing F12. i would think it would be the same in the windows version, but if i am wrong about that, i'm sure someone here can correct me.

as for finding your screenshot, i have NO idea where the file will be stored in a windows system. (if anyone is wondering where the mac stores them, just ask and i'll happily let you know.) but i can offer these tips: 1) do a find for the word "screenshots".. on the mac, all the screenshots are put in a directory of called "screenshots". if you have a lot of games installed, however, you may locate screenshot directories for a bunch of games. if so, tip 2) is to do a find for the names themselves. on the mac, the screenshots are JPEG files called "shotXXXX.jpg", where the XXXX is a four-digit sequential number of your screenshots. so if you never took any before and you took five, they would be called shot0001.jpg, shot0002.jpg, shot0003.jpg, shot0004.jpg and shot0005.jpg and so on. once you have found you JPEG you can use it as-is, or you can manipulate it in a paint program.

and as for USING screenshots - once you know how to take them, and where to find them - that you can do one of a few ways.

1) if you have any of your own webspace, either here on the JHF server or elsewhere, you can upload the image to that webspace and then "embed" it in a post here on the boards. the code for that is simple. you begin by putting 'img' in brackets, then the URL of the image, and then you put /img in brackets. it should look like this, but with your own URL:

so it will show up looking like this:

2) if the image file size is big or if embedding it would take up too much space in your message, you can just provide the URL for the image so it shows up like a link. the link to the same image i embedded above would look like this:

http://angelwerks.com/jhf/dreamy.jpg

so basically you can show us the image, or provide a link for us to see it. if you look in the Highlight Reel thread i started, you'll see both ways of showing pictures.

3) if you don't have any kind of webspace of your own, there are websites that will give you space to upload your pictures, and it doesnt cost you anything. the best (IME) is imageshack.com. since i have my own domain, i've never needed to use imageshack, so i don't know how. but i'm sure someone here knows and would be happy to tell you how to do it.

so that's what i know, bin-jesse. hope that was helpful!

p.s.: it's true. i'm way more dreamier than hans.

end of line.

Us winders people use f12 by default too for ss's, and whilst playing on JHF, the screenshots will be in yer /call of duty/awe_betasomthingnamedlikethat/screenshots/  folder.

Everything else is just the same Smiley

Oh, and every JHF member is entitled to webspace - read the member information in the JHF file share folder for how to get it (basically just ask me Wink ) and how to upload your picture to whatever server you put it on.

http://www.jhfgames.com/forum/index.php/topic,460.0.html

To simplify things a bit - the url method are mentioned (posting a link to the picture rather than the picture itself) may be easier, and you wouldn't have to go through the trouble of resizing it to fit the posting rules and the forum. Smiley
