Hey Fellas,

I am truly frustrated at this point... >:   Everytime I start CoD up and go into join a game, the pings that come up are well into the triple digits.  I have a new modem and ethernet card.  I am using the same linksys router that I have been using for many months.  I have disabled all of the firewalls and yet I still get the same problem.  It is only noticable when I try and play CoD.  I can surf the internet without so much as a hicup.  Except that when I try to play a video over the net it comes up all scrambled.  Could this be an effect of my new vid card?  Any thoughts would be most welcome.

Hey WM, try running this before - during- and after you play

set it to the servers ip and have it check like every 3 secs. it will create a chart you can use to see when & where your ping goes crazy. Ive used the ss from this to help/harass my ISP before- good luck

Also run a tracert in your DOS prompt.  It may be some jump along the way to the server that is causing an issue.  It was with me at one time.  My ISP couldn't correct the problem directly since the issue point was not controlled by them, but they were able to reroute me around it eventrually.

Ahhh ping plotter, I remember it well.  I had to use it back when we first switched over to the new mohaa server.  However all it did for me was show me a blatant visual reminder that my ping was too high for me to join.  Some how it fixed its self eventually.
