Well, in many ways 1942 would be immediately familiar to you, Madindian.  Its the same BF setup, with tickets, kit setups, etc etc.  No rank/leveling system though.  I don't think it had a campaign so unless it has some sort of following of retro online gamers there isn't much reason to play it.  That being said, when BF 1942 came out it was awesome.  Besides Tribes 2 (greatest multiplayer game ever) I don't think I've had more fun fragging goons online.

    Hi everyone, My name is Scott. I just started playing BC2  and I have to say I was quite happy to have played on a =JHF= server last night for the first time. It was a awesome experience with some patient and fun people. I'll definitely keep playing!

Whats up guys,  I know some of you from playing Rift and from UU.. Figured I would register on the site and say hello.. Plan on joining up and playing with you all in the next First Person shooter.. 
   Little about me been playing MMo's for over 15 years starting with Eq and going on through DAOC, WOW and now rift.  I also played Bad Company but did not know yall then:(.
